Better Sleep with Acid Reflux

It may be beneficial to keep your bed on blocks or a foam wedge in order to have the head of the bed elevated while you are sleeping. This could reduce acid reflux by the sheer force of natural gravity.
Don't sleep on your right side. Believe it or not, it appears that sleeping on your right relaxes the esophageal sphincter. This ring of muscles normally defends against reflux.
Sleep on your left side. It turns out that this position may be the best position to reduce acid reflux.
How about sleeping on your back? If you are overweight, sleeping on your back increases the pressure and acid may be driven into your esophagus.
